How to Defeat Vanadis in God of War Ragnarok
This boss has two phases. After you depleted her health to half the second phase will begin.
First Phase
The first thing you want to look out for is the red circle attack. In this attack, she will jump in the air and smash the sword ground you can simply dodge the attack by making some distance. You don’t have to worry about this attack as this will not give you much damage.
The next thing to worry about Vanadis is she will run away by fast backward using her wings. She will shoot a lot of arrows at you multiple times. She has an attack where she will do like a spreadsheet and then like a bunch of arrows one after another.
Either way, just make sure to block and Perry them. If you are Perring her attack you will need to be careful that she can send it back to you. If you do multiple attacks it will give a lot of damage.
The next attack is she will use poison balls. She will throw multiple Poison balls on the ground which will stay for a short time rather than disappearing immediately. If you put a step on it, it can lower your HP and make Vanadis stronger because it lowers your level.
Second Phase
The Second phase will begin after you depleted half of her HP. She will take you the mid-air and throw you on the ground.
In the second round, she will use multiple projectiles with arrows. Make sure to block the follow-up. She will also use the poison repeatedly so make sure to stay away and keep your distance from the attacks. The rest of the attacks remain the same in the second phase.
Vanadis Always try to keep your distance from you. You can give full damage to her by closing the distance and making sure to use the full attacks and rage attacks. You can use either Levithan Axe or Weapon of Chaos to give damage.
Make sure to land the full combos until she backs herself and prepares for another attack. Make sure to guard the attacks and take full advantage of the distance. This will make the fight easier for you to defeat her.
