Every weapon in the god of War Ragranok has its own attack forms. If you can use Leviathan Axe to inflict close damage on enemies then the Blades of Chaos can be used to damage enemies at distance.
The blade of chaos runic attack is an upgraded version when imbued with the runes to upgrade. To upgrade Blades of Chaos you need to gather resources from different locations and through the main story. As every weapon has its own attacks so you need to get the resources to upgrade them.

Where to Find Every Blades of Chaos Runic Attack in God of War Ragnarok
There are two major categories of Runic Attacks.
- Light Runic Attacks.
- Heavy Runic Attacks
Light Runic Attacks
1. Flame of Anguish
The First Light Runic attack will be given in the main story Quest (The Quest for TYR) which will be dropped by Dreki.
2. Cyclones of Chaos
This Runic attack can be found in Raiders Stronghold (Midgard). Enter the temple and you will see the chest. Open the chest to get the Light Runic attack.
3. Helios Flare
You can find this Runic Attack in The Abandoned Village (Vanaheim). Follow the path until you reach the waterfall. Then go left through the short path and move forward. Follow the light to reach the bridge where you have to cross the bridge. Use your axe to move the tower twice and use the grappler to cross. You will see the under the tree after crossing. Interact with the chest to get the Light Runic Attack.
4. Rampage of the Furious
This Runic attack can be found in Vanir Shrine (Vanaheim). You need to open the gate at this location to access the Chest. Look right to the first gate you will see the roots covering the wall. Use the Blade of chaos to remove them. Then use the ability of detonation to open the gate.
5. Hades Retribution
You can find this Runic Attack in Temple of Light (Alfheim). Go to the location and enter the big temple. Follow the path between the pillars and clear the obstacles by using the Blade of Chaos. You will see a chest in the cave open and take the Runic Attack.
Heavy Runic Attacks
1. Tame the Beast
You will find this Runic Attack in the main quest (Reunion). If you missed it you can buy it from the Blacksmith’s Shop.
2. Atlas Reunion
This Runic attack can be found in The Forge (Svartalfheim). Upon reaching the place open the gate and follow the mountain path until you reach the lift. Use the frost’s ability to freeze the water which will bring the lift down. Use the lift to reach the chest. Open the chest and take the Runic Attack.
3. Tartarus Rage
You will find this Runic Attack in Raider Hideout (Midgard). Go inside the big cave and open the chest to take the Runic Attack.
4. Nemean Crush
This Runic Attack can be found in The Burrow (Alfheim). You will be able to find this during the Quest of (Later Song of the Sands).
5. Meteoric Slam
You can find this runic attack in The Raven Tree (Niflheim). Right side in the center but first you need to kill Odin’s Ravens across the Realm to unlock the chests. You will see the chests under the big magical tree.
