Tips To Fix Factorio No Sound Issue
In most cases, it’s the Windows sound mixer that causes the problem. If you are using multiple audio output devices then Windows might use the wrong unsupported device to output Factorio sound.
When you open Volume Mixer do you see Factorio in the applications list with its sound bar moving?
If not then right-click on the speaker icon and select Playback devices. Make sure the device you’re using is set as the Default device, and disable all other ones to see if that helps.

Windows Sound Enhancements feature is another cause of no sound in Factorio. try to disable it.
Other tips that you can use are:
- Delete the config.ini folder by going into the %AppData% folder.
- Uninstall the game from Steam
- Delete the %appdata%\Factorio folder
- Delete the Steam\SteamApps\common\Factorio folder
- Reboot your PC
- Reinstall Factorio from Steam
- remove Mods
If none of the above helps then try downloading the .zip-version from the website, extract it and launch it from there, maybe that works.
