How To Make a Wooden Pickaxe in Minecraft?

In Minecraft pickaxe is one of the most important and commonly used tools to mine faster. It can also help you to fight zombies and sometimes acts as a weapon for you because it has a damage of 2+.

In Minecraft Java, Bedrock, and Windows 10 editions you can craft different types of pickaxes. Pickaxes like Wooden, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Netherite let you mine faster. As a beginner, a wooden pickaxe is the first tool that you need to make.

In this article, I am going to explain the steps to make a wooden Pickaxe in Minecraft. You just need to follow the steps.

Required Materials to Craft a Wooden Pickaxe.

3 Oak planks
2 Sticks
Crafting table (If you don’t know then read this guide on how to craft a crafting Table)

Steps To Make a Wooden Pickaxe in Minecraft Survival Mode.

Step 1. Gather the necessary resources needed to craft a pickaxe. You would need the things mentioned upper in the list.

2 Sticks: Sticks can be made by placing the oak wooden planks in your 2×2 crafting space in the order shown below in the picture.

3 Oak wooden planks: You can make wooden planks easily by placing a wooden block of a tree in your 2×2 crafting table (no order is required to make a wooden oak plank in your 2×2 crafting space. You can place it randomly).

Step 2. Once you have gathered the above materials now open your crafting table.

Step 3. Place the Sticks horizontally in the middle column but leave the upper middle box empty. Place the Oak wooden planks vertically in the upper row of blocks. As shown in the below picture.

Step 4. Click or tap on the pickaxe and simply move it to your inventory.

Congrats you made a pickaxe and now it’s ready to use.

TIP: Never mine down straight from the block on which you are standing. Always go for the block after you so you get informed of the lava. Otherwise, the lava will burn you and you will loose your all materials and tools you have made.
