When you first play Spider-Man or Venom in Marvel Rivals, you might realize that both characters’ web-swinging powers feel unnatural. This is probably because the game’s settings include a hidden mechanic for both characters activated by default. When playing as these wall crawlers, you’ll want to disable this feature so that you can swing more precisely and accurately throughout each area.
Venom only has one web swing, however, Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals can execute several before a cooldown. This ability is crucial for both players’ movement around a map and their ability to surprise opponent teams by situating themselves well. However, if you have a hidden option called “Easy Swing” enabled in your settings, you will not be able to aim at specific locations on the map to web-swivel from.
How to Disable Easy Swing for Precise Movement in Marvel Rivals
Fortunately, it’s simple to turn off Easy Swing for Venom and Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals’ options. You can access the special settings for each of the game’s heroes by following these steps:
- Pause Marvel Rivals and select the “Settings” option
- Go To The “Controller” Tab Among The Setting Menus
- Toggle “Combat” Among Available Options
- Select The “All Heroes” Drop Down Menu
- Pick Spider-Man Or Venom To Access Their Unique Settings
After choosing the options for Venom or Spider-Man, scroll down until you find “Automatic Swing” or “Easy Swing.” These settings are activated by default, as you can see, but you may switch off this hidden function by just pressing them again. Once you’ve done this, you won’t automatically discover an anchor point on a Marvel Rival’s map that you weren’t aiming for when you press a web-swing ability for any character.
Tip – You can also change additional aspects of the hero or villain in the character’s special settings, such whether you need to hold an input to continue swinging the web as Spider-Man.
From this point on, you must aim for a solid item to start a web-swing, which will send a tendril or line of webbing to any location you choose. Although you have much greater control over your mobility now, it can take some time to become used to the Practice Range. Unquestionably, though, it grants Venom and Spider-Man a great deal more mobility in Marvel Rivals.
