Lapis was the first character to be made available in Hyper Light Breaker, and because of her strong SyComs overall, she’s a great Breaker to experiment with builds. She acquires stats more quickly than other Breakers since her more general SyCom, Warrior, offers extra stat boosts every time you upgrade it. Additionally, you may use her Warrior SyCom in practically any build you can enhance the stats that are most useful at the time and receive a small bonus without worrying about synergy.
Regardless of which of the three playable Breakers you’re playing, your SyCom and Holobytes are typically the most crucial factors in deciding your build. While your SyCom is dependent on Breakers and has special passives, your Holobytes are your modifiers that boost your damage, stats, and other attributes. Lapis has two SyComs, Lightweaver and Warrior, the same as the others. You should choose Warrior for this DPS-focused build.
Best Loadout For Lapis To Increase Damage

This Bright Blood build for Lapis is one of the few builds in Hyper Light Breaker that takes a long time to get going. It is centered on the Danger Blood Holobytes and Plasma Edge Holobytes, which raise your DMG in proportion to the Danger Level and Blood in your cache, respectively. You should run Lapis’ Warrior SyCom to fully benefit from these bonuses. It has extremely strong base stats and gains more each time it is upgraded.
Lapis’s excellent stats provide you with a wide variety of weapon options. However, you will require certain Holobytes for the Blood-focused build to function:
Blade | Gamma Claws or other Dual Weapon |
---|---|
Rail | Any |
Holobytes | Plasma Edge, Danger Blood, Blitz Blade, Materials Processor, Butcher’s Tool |
AMP | Berserker’s Exoskeleton or Critical Ring |
Armor | Medium or Heavy Armor |
Apart from the necessary Holobytes, this design is somewhat flexible. It depends on adding Blood to your cache, which raises your damage. This Holobyte only improves with each run since it remains consistent during the same cycle. Similarly, each time you gather a resource, Materials Processor receives 0.25% Blade DMG; this Holobyte will only become better as your runs progress.
This build does not include the Butcher’s Tool Holobyte, therefore feel free to replace it with another Holobyte if you believe it will function better. While having a weapon that provides high stagger can be useful, Butcher’s Tool is one of the more useful “neutral” Holobytes that doesn’t really depend on other players or specific stats to work. In the more challenging runs, it can be the difference between life and death and is one of the few sources of healing in Hyper Light Breaker. Think about whether the boost it provides justifies forgoing the ability to heal if you can locate another Holobyte that can heal or perhaps one that works in tandem with your collection of Blood and Materials.
Upgrading Warrior SyCom for Power
It is increasingly worthwhile to upgrade your SyCom utilizing Cores because of Lapis’ Warrior SyCom passive. Excellent beginning numbers are already present in Warrior, and they only become better with each upgrade. In general, you should start by improving your HP and Strike stats. Strike is rather straightforward; it enhances your Blade damage, which makes percentage increases made possible by your Holobytes even more potent. But HP is a little more specialized.
Obtaining the Blitz Blade Holobyte will increase your Blade DMG by 200% at the expense of 35% of your HP. This makes Lapis more squishier than she was before, reducing her already tiny health pool by more than a third. Your squishiness will be lessened if you increase your HP stat. Your total hit points will rise, enabling you to take more hits, even if your HP will still be lowered by 35%.
How To Play Lapis’ Bright Blood Build

The key will be resource hoarding, which is rewarded by both your Material Processor and Plasma Edge Holobytes. On your first runs, go slowly and concentrate on obtaining as much material and blood as you can safely before extracting before you perish. Make collecting Holobytes a priority as well, as this will increase your chances of obtaining the necessary Holobytes.
Note: Unfortunately, there is no method to ensure that a Holobyte will descend. Even if you can’t run the entire construct you want at once, have patience and attempt to get the most out of each cycle.
Spend as little Blood as you can in between runs to keep your Plasma Edge’s perks intact. It depends on having a sizable bank account, therefore even though it could be tempting to try to buy more equipment for your upcoming cycle, preserve the money for later.
The player must strike a balance in both Danger Blood and Plasma Edge; in Plasma Edge, this balance is between using Blood to upgrade your equipment and saving Blood to raise your DMG. This balance with Danger Blood is between protecting yourself from the prospect of an increasingly dangerous Overgrowth and making money off of the extra Blood you get.
Tip – It’s wise to depart early on when the Adept miniboss spawns and the danger meter beneath your minimap hits 50%. This allows you to extract Blood from Danger Blood as safely as possible while maximizing the amount of Blood you get.
Last but not least, as more Blood acquisition is crucial for Plasma Edge to get off the ground, Danger Blood will be incredibly useful. Furthermore, the Overgrowth’s danger level always reaches its maximum when you begin extracting, therefore the Blood you obtain during the extraction survival struggle is always greatly increased, giving you about 500 Blood every extraction. For a sure bag, go right to the extraction if you want to farm Blood but don’t want to spend time exploring the region.
Though the core of the construct is applicable regardless of the Holobytes you obtain, the Bright Blood build for Lapis necessitates several extremely specialized tweaks, making it difficult to complete unless you are extremely fortunate. A collection of haphazard upgrades is pointless if they aren’t feeding each other, and they won’t be of any benefit in the long run. Hyper Light Breaker’s roguelike gameplay will provide you endless opportunities to try again, regardless of the upgrades you receive.
