Fan control and presets
Fan control on your Apple computer can be set in two ways:
- Auto Control: In this mode, the fan is automatically managed by the system, which is Apple’s default scenario. When all fans are under automatic system control, the fan control software operates in a monitoring-only mode, allowing you to observe the fan’s performance.
- Custom Control: With custom control, the fan is regulated by the fan control software itself. You can set it to run at a constant RPM value, such as 1500 RPM, or you can opt for sensor-based control, which adjusts the fan speed in relation to a specific sensor, like the CPU PECI sensor. This custom control mode gives you the ability to fine-tune and optimize the fan’s behavior according to your preferences and needs.
