Path of Exile 2: How to Get the From Nothing Diamond & Maximize Your Build

An important piece of loot in Path of Exile 2, the From Nothing Diamond gives you more freedom to move throughout the passive skill tree, giving you more character design options. You will use various materials to refine your Path of Exile 2 build as you level up: You can use skill points to acquire game-changing passives, gear to give you specific benefits, and skill gems to unlock new abilities. Your build’s specialty is entirely altered by passives, which arguably become more significant over time, even if your abilities have the most noticeable effect early in the game.

Naturally, it won’t be simple to receive the From Nothing Diamond; you’ll need to defeat a challenging boss, and there’s no assurance that the diamond will drop at all. Even if it does, you might get a type that won’t be very useful to your character. Here’s how to have a shot at getting the From Nothing Diamond and enjoying its many advantages, though.

Only after gaining access to the Atlas of Worlds may you battle the King in the Mists, a formidable endgame pinnacle foe that drops the From Nothing Diamond at difficulty level four. An Audience with the King is a rare item that you must locate to confront the King in the Mists. Usually bought from an Altar of Favors, this can cost between 2,900 and 3,700 Tribute. It can be postponed to reduce the cost.

After that, you can return your audience to the Realmgate and insert it there to create a passageway to the Crux of Nothingness. And so the battle against the King in the Mists starts.

How To Beat The King In The Mists

With an odd gimmick in the middle, The King in the Mists is a challenging, two-phase battle. To add the From Nothing Diamond to his loot table, you must battle him at level four difficulty. We’ll give you the essentials here, but our Ingenuity Utility Belt tutorial provides a detailed description of how to defeat the King in the Mists.

Your major objective in phase one is to stay moving constantly to evade the King’s attempt to put an immobility curse on you. When he makes a totem, destroy it so that waves of damage don’t emanate. To prevent losing too much HP to that attack, ascend the ramps along the sides when the mist appears. To begin phase two, continue dodging his projectiles until he is only using a third of his HP bar.

But you’ll get stuck in a root maze before you can accomplish that. To escape, just follow the wisps. The AoE barrage is almost constant in phase two. Continue to move and dodge any strikes that come your way. The tornado he conjures is especially dangerous because it will cause armor to break and expose you to far greater damage. But you’ll get your treasure after he’s vanquished. At level four of difficulty, you can potentially get any of the following:

  • Ingenuity Utility Belt
  • Pragmatism Explorer Armor
  • From Nothing Diamond
  • The Burden of Shadows Chiming Staff
  • Beetlebite Velour Shoes

Buying A From Nothing Diamond

An alternate option is to buy a From Nothing Diamond from the Path of Exile 2 store. Depending on the talent involved, prices now appear to fluctuate between 40 and 80 Exalted Orbs. Although mining Exalted Orbs takes time, this can appear like a quick fix.

Always use the Path of Exile 2 official trading marketplace, which is mentioned above; avoid using other websites.

From Nothing Diamond Effects: How It Transforms Your Passive Skill Tree

Best Passive Skills For a Monk Build In PoE 2

You can insert a From Nothing Diamond into a designated slot on your passive skill tree when you’ve located one. By drawing a radius around a certain keystone passive, each From Nothing Diamond enables you to assign skills within that radius, even if they aren’t related to the rest of your tree.

To put it another way, you can unlock the passives that are inside the Diamond’s radius without needing to unlock other skill tree nodes to get there. With your Path of Exile 2 build, this gives you a lot more freedom to move about the passive tree.
